NWD Exhibition in Toronto 2008, CANADA

The exhibition Neighbors who Disappeared was introduced in Canada. The first place of this exhibit is Toronto, where the exhibition is located in Miles Nadal Jewish Community Center. Czech Prime minister Mirek Topolanek took part at the official opening of the Neighbors who Disappeared as well as other members of Canadian government.
The lecturer of the Education and Culture Centre of the Jewish Museum in Prague - Miroslava Ludvikova - guided seven workshops with Canadian students, who could learn more about Jewish history in Czech Republic and also about the work of their Czechs peers. More than 230 pupils and students participated at these workshops.
Johnny Freund took part at one of these workshops. Johnny Freund was born in former Czechoslovakia, survived the Holocaust and lives in Canada nowadays. His story is told at one poster of the project - poster about "Gossip" magazine and about Ceske Budejovice.
In one month the exhibition is moved to Montreal, where the exhibition will be placed in Vanier College.
